Good evening. I am Jasnah Kholin—scholar, Elsecaller, and, for reasons that I assure you will require further study, today’s designated occupant of this dunk tank. While I typically dedicate my efforts to combating ignorance and injustice, I am told that allowing you to drop me into a vat of cold water will somehow advance the cause of mental health awareness- though, I must note that this mechanism appears to have been designed by someone whose understanding of engineering—and dignity—is limited at best. Nevertheless, in support of mental health initiatives, I will submit myself to your amusement. Should you succeed in submerging me, take comfort in knowing that your actions serve a worthy cause. And should you fail… well, I have always appreciated empirical demonstrations. So, very well. I have faced assassins, storms, and the expectations of an entire kingdom. I suppose a bucket of water will do its worst.
